Gender-Bending Fiction Index (Beta 2.8)

Welcome to the gender-bending fiction index. When you are ready to begin browsing, select a category from the sidebar. Once viewing a category, you may click column headers to alter sort order or click the title of any entry to view additional details.

If you are unsure of the meaning of any icon, hover your mouse over it for an explanation. For link icons, this function also provides descriptions of the link destinations.

Note: To be marked as "verified", an entry must meet two criteria: The portions containing the gender-bending must be available in English and the site administrator must have personally confirmed the accuracy of the data.

Newest Entries Feed

  Updates:

  • Recent additions list and feed now provide more information.
  • The site now has a search system, complete with some tuning to make adjusting your search more efficient.
    • The search box will automatically get keyboard focus on a results page.
    • AccessKey+F will focus the search field on any page.
  • Stories with multiple creators now show that fact properly.
  • All source series which aren't themselves gender-bending now have entries in the database which are hidden by default.
  • Legend now isn't cluttered up by favicons for sites like Wikipedia.
  • Various work to improve data quality and completeness.
  • Lots of clean-up under the hood.

  Beta Notes:

  • At present, I almost never test on non-Linux browsers like Internet Explorer and Safari.
  • The scoring algorithm for story records is currently very primitive.
  • The Back/Forward buttons don't yet work as expected with Javascript enabled.
  • Middle-clicking the sidebar doesn't yet work as expected with Javascript enabled.
  • I haven't yet had time to fix the Javascript to play nicely with the search results. Expect harmless but surprising bugs.
